Cumberland Falls

Cumberland Falls is located in southeastern Kentucky. It is one of the largest waterfalls in the South at 60 feet high and 125 feet wide. It is also one of the most accessible waterfalls in the state. More than 700,000 people each year visit the waterfall and Cumberland Falls State Park. It is especially popular when the moon is full and the chances are good that a moonbow will be visible.

It's not unusual to see a rainbow just below the falls during the day, especially just after a rain. When the moon is full, you might see a moonbow. The falls is one of the few places in the world where moonbows are visible.

This is the view from DuPont Lodge.

Rushing water begins to calm just below the falls.

This bridge is just upstream from the falls and adjacent to the parking lot.
